active since 1994. The band's name comes from the Anthrax
song "Time" from the album Persistence of Time
(1990); same as favourite bands like Metallica
and Sepultura
the name is written equal in English and Portuguese respectively like in Spanish.
Paranoia were started when few people believed in thrash metal and few bands came with the idea of doing thrash metal and similar music in the entire world, less in Spain, but Paranoia had the personality to fight against the death of thrash metal, supported by music of bands like Pantera
, Machine Head
and Sepultura.
Influenced by bands like Legion, Soziedad Alkoholika
, Hamlet
and Ktulu from the Spanish thrash scene and also obviously by the masters of thrash of other countries, Paranoia ever tried to mix the influences and get own personality and something different.
Zalo join forces with Amador and Berto to play together taking many hours with their instruments, also Leli, Tuto or Miguel participates with the band making some noise and having fun too.

History
Paranoia formed in 1994 at Gijon, Asturias, coastal location not very propitious for rock music (even less for thrash metal) when compared to Madrid, Barcelona o el País Vasco when Zalo gets his first guitar y dan comienzo las intensas sesiones de ensayo para crear una banda de metal cañero influenciado por thrash metal y heavy metal principalmente cantado en inglés.Zalo join forces with Amador and Berto to play together taking many hours with their instruments, also Leli, Tuto or Miguel participates with the band making some noise and having fun too.
