Community

• In 2011, a Community Kitchen Garden was installed on the rooftop carpark above Coles. It is hoped that shoppers will be able to 'celebrate the growth of fresh, seasonal produce.' Shoppers are allowed to take herbs and vegetables as they like, but are asked to respect the plants and 'not fully remove them'. The garden is open from 9am to 5pm daily.
• Every Tuesday morning at 7.30am there is a Parkmore Community Walk, where members of the community congregate in the centre to exercise.

Other

Parkmore has also seen a crackdown on shoplifting in the past. Increased police numbers are implemented in the hope that shoplifting will be reduced. The crime was often committed by kids under 18 on school holidays.
