rule with Pasrur as its headquarter. It lies between 31°56' to 32°20' North and 74°32' to 74°57' East. It has an area of 394 square miles (1,020.5 km²). Chawinda, Qila Sobha Singh,Qila Kaalar wala,Classwala and Chobara are growing towns while Chand, Ban Bajwa, Basiwala (or Abbaswala), Bhular Meray Wala, Sayain Wali, Bhoalair Bajwa,Basu Pannu, Jaito Gill, Baba Coloney, Razia Coloney(famous Name Jia Coloney), Basiwala Canel Bank, Dadoo Bajwa,nawan sohwawa, Paijo Ke Sharif, Siowall, Shahzada, Tharoh, Sabaz Kot, Kingra, Khanpur Syedan, philorah, Gadgore, Pindi Bhago, Bakho Bhatti, Masiaal, Bhagiari,Talwandi Inyat Khan , Najo chak, Nogran, Nakhnaal, Bheeni, Butter Dogran and Charwah are famous villages of the tehsil . Famous settlement of Pashtun tribe Kaka Zai/Kakey Zai of Afghan origin is also located in Pasrur. It is named as Nowshera Kakey Zaian.It is said that people of this village can be seen in many parts of the world and all major cities of Pakistan. About 70 percent population of this village was literate about half a century ago.Nowshera Kakey Zaian had its own resident welfare committee over a hundred years ago, that was totally operated by the people of the village for the welfare of people. Nowshera Kakey Zaian has a free eye hospital and a dispensary which is serving the people of number of neighboring villages over the years. The Girls and Boys Primary schools of this village had been sole source of basic education for a number of neighboring villages for nearly four decades. This village had urban amenities like electricity, post office, sanitation system, paved streets etc. about five decades ago. Majority population of this settlement is engaged either in State Service or business.As a sequel thereof, maximum population of Kakey Zai tribe has migrated to big cities-specially Lahore, leaving behind their ancestral properties to be looked after by peasant folk and tenants of other castes. A considerable number of Kakey Zai people from Nowshera Kakey Zaian has elevated to prominent positions. Pasrur has 443 villages. The famous naalah Daik passes through the eastern side of the city. Tehsil Pasrur has the best agricultural land in Punjab. Almost all the major crops such as rice, wheat, sugarcane, corn, and pulses are produced here. Tube wells and canal water are the main source of irrigation. World's best basmati rice is produced here. The northern region of the tehsil extends up to the working boundary between Pakistan and the Indian occupied state of Jammu and Kashmir. People of this Tehsil are intelligent, educated and hardworking.
