Patrick Stanislaus Castagne (better known as Pat) was born on October 3rd, 1916 in Guyana

when he was young. He went to St Mary's College
and furthered his education in the United Kingdom

He composed the national anthem for the West Indies Federation (championed by the UK as a means for their colonies in the West Indies to attain a status similar to that achieved by Canada and Australia), which only lasted from 1958-1962.
