Marquart was first elected to the House in 2000, and has been re-elected every two years since then. He is currently a member of the House Taxes Committee and State and Local Government Operations Reform, Technology and Elections Committee. He also serves on the Finance Subcommittee for the K-12 Education Finance Division and on the Taxes Subcommittee for the Property and Local Sales Tax Division, which he chairs.
