Pauric 'Paudie' Mahony is an Irish
hurler
who plays for both the Waterford Inter-county hurling team and the Ballygunner GAA
club. Mahony is nephew to former inter county hurler Billy O'Sullivan
and current Waterford hurler Shane O'Sullivan
. His brother Philip Mahony
is currently also a panel member on the Waterford Senior Hurling Team
. He made his championship debut against Limerick
on 12th of June 2011. Mahony was awarded the Waterford Young Hurler of The Year award for 2010.
since an early age. From such an age, it was already apartent that he had the potential to become one of the club's most promising stars. Following several impressive preformance at intermidiate grade duering the 2009 season, Pauric was promoted to the senior team & immediately broke onto the starting team. Mahony played a qey role in Ballygunner
's county championship winnnig side. On the 1st of December 2009, Pauric played in his first Munster Club Final
. Ballygunner were defeated on the day by Newtownshandrum
on a scoreline of 2-11 to 2-9. Pauric picked up his second county medal in 2011.
