Pazhayannur actually forms a junction town in which the road splits into 4 ways. Alathur

are those four splits diverted to. Two major educational facilitations are a Higher Secondary School and a college run by Institute of Human Resource Development.

Festivals
Hundreds of devotees visit the Mahakshethram every year, and partake and participate both in person and contributions to carry out the various poojas and offerings to Her.
