He has thirty seven full caps for and can play at full-back or scrum-half. On the sevens circuit he is widely considered Portugal's best player and in the 2006/07 IRB Sevens series, he scored 20 tries from eight tournament appearances. He played three games at the Rugby World Cup 2007 finals.
