Scott was first elected in 2008, running after three-term Rep. Chris DeLaForest opted not to seek re-election. She was re-elected in 2010. She is currently a member of the House Civil Justice Committee and also serves on the Finance subcommittees for the Capital Investment Finance Division, the Housing Finance and Policy and Public Health Finance Division, and the Transportation Finance and Policy Division, and on the Taxes Subcommittee for the Property and Local Sales Tax Division.
