The Pensioner Affairs Minister of Israel is the political head of the Israel

. The post was created following the coalition agreement between Kadima
and Gil (the Pensioners' Party) after the 2006 elections. The current minister is Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, with Lea Nass serving as Deputy Minister.
Gil leader Rafi Eitan
took the post on 4 May 2006, although the ministry itself was not formed until a vote of approval by the Knesset
