in 1879, Vinnell arrived in New Zealand
in 1913. He was a bootmaker and manager of the Canterbury
Shoe Company. Percy Vinnell was the Labour candidate for Timaru in 1919, 1922 and 1925, and was Mayor of Timaru 1936-38.
Vinnell died in 1938.
