Costa made only one appearance on screen after The Cosby Show, in a small role in the 1990 film The Lemon Sisters.

Costa is currently a member of the bands Torrential Downpour, the Kreptaka Bar Band and PT Grimm. He plays percussion for these bands, which are based in northern New Jersey.
