He was a founder of the company Integrated Silicon Design Pty. Ltd., a South Australian Company specialising in Radio Frequency Identification Systems. From 1984 to 1999 he was the Chairman of Directors of Integrated Silicon Design Pty. Ltd. In 2002, he was invited to join the Auto-ID Center established by MIT, and is now Director of the Auto-ID Laboratory at Adelaide, one of six Auto-ID research laboratories throughout the word supported by EPCglobal.
