The Peter Marsh Chase is a Grade 2 National Hunt
chase in Great Britain

aged five years or older. It is run at Haydock Park
over a distance of about 3 miles (4,828 metres), and during its running there are eighteen fences to be jumped. It is a limited handicap race, and it is scheduled to take place each year in January. It was first run in 1981.
The 1984 and 1985 editions were both abandoned because of frost.
The 1988 running was abandoned due to snow.
It was cancelled in 1991 because of frost.
The 2001 race was abandoned due to frost.
The 2008 race was abandoned due to waterlogging.
