as weeknight presenter.
A little known fact is that Mitchell recorded vocal on a Beatles cover track "Baby, You're a Rich Man" from the 1991 album Company of Strangers. This album featured Daryl Braithwaite

In 1997 he was the first news presenter in Australia to break the news, during an AFL match, that Princess Diana had been killed.
