María Petra Curiel Ramos (March 27, 1826 – September 10, 1879) was a benefactor to the town of Los Barbosa
during 1841-1879, and the wife of Pablo Barbosa
and the mother of Timotea Barbosa

farmer and his second wife doña Juana María Ramos y Aumada a criolla
. She was baptized on April 3, 1826 by the priest don Juan María de Haro in San Martín de Hidalgo
. Paternal grandparents were Pascual Curiel and Francisca Lugarda Zárate, maternal grandparents were Lorenzo Ramos and Josefa Aumada.
Her father, don Manuel Curiel, was the widower of Secundina Rubio y Rodríguez whom he married on July 3, 1800. Five daughters were born of that marriage: María Estefana de Jesús, María Ricarda, María Luisa de Jesús, Juana Miguela, and María Petra.
Secundina died near 1812, and don Manuel remarried with Petra's mother Juana María Ramos on April 7, 1823 in Ameca
. Other children of Manuel and Juana were Nazario Curiel Ramos and Cristóbal Curiel Ramos.
