Pharmasave is a Canadian independent pharmacy and drugstore retailer. It is a member owned and governed cooperative founded in 1981 when United Pharmacy and Western Drug Mart joined together. Each of Pharmasave’s more than 430 stores operates independently and they range in size from small dispensaries to large-format home healthcare pharmacies. Pharmasave stores are located in nine provinces across Canada and are organized into 5 regions: Pacific (British Columbia), Western (Alberta), Central (Saskatchewan, Manitoba and northwestern Ontario), Ontario (Ontario) and Atlantic (Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island). Each region has a Board of Directors as well as representation on the National Board of Directors. The National Office is located in Langley, British Columbia
