In the year of its release, "Stop It I Like It" (written with Rick Guard) was a Top 20 hit in eleven countries, the 75th highest played song on the radio in the world, and in the top 10 of ringtone charts in Europe. It has also been used on a top-selling computer game Pop Life and Dance: UK.

"All or Nothing", written with Russell Watson, was released on the U.S. version of the platinum-selling Reprise album.

"Jublilate Domum", written with Jon Christos, was included on the Sony BMG / Universal Music released platinum-selling The Number One Classical Album in the World and A Classic Christmas.

"Lay Me Down", written with Ashley MacIsaac, was released on Decca Records

Teaching

Rice qualified as a music teacher in 1993 and has worked in a variety of educational capacities. These include working with Hodder Education on their best-selling Teach Yourself Singing, where he worked as an educational consultant to author Rick Guard. He was the head of music at ancaster and Morecambe FE College and has also managed a Lancashire-based Yamaha School of Music. He currently teaches privately, and clients include prospective Universal and Sony BMG artists managed by ex-Russell Watson manager Perry Hughes and work for the family of Lancashire multi-millionaire Trevor Hemmings
