Gorman departed Shelbourne at the end of the 2008 season as he was due to undertake military duty abroad but following his return home to Ireland he rejoined Shelbourne on 3 February 2010 for their 2010 First Division campaign. Gorman held down a regular spot for Shelbourne during 2010 scoring 7 goals in 29 competitive appearances. He also won a Leinster Senior Cup medal that season.
Following time taken out of the game due to injury, Gorman re-signed for Shelbourne for a third spell on 12 August 2011.
