Pico station serves the South Park neighborhood on its east, and the Figueroa/Convention district on its west. It is located on the east side of Flower Street, just north of Pico Boulevard.

History

The station opened on July 14, 1990, on opening day of the Blue Line. On that day, the Flower Street Tunnel and 7th St/Metro Center Station

were still under construction. Thus, Pico Station was the northern terminus for the Blue Line until completion of the Flower Street Tunnel and 7th St/Metro Center Station in February 1991.
