As a junior, he was named to the Ohio Athletic Conference first-team and was the recipient of the Ed Sherman Award for the OAC's most outstanding receiver. Professional career

Pierre Garçon was drafted by the Colts in 2008 and he spent the entire season as a backup receiver. Working his way into the active roster in 2009, Garçon was named Reggie Wayne's back-up. After Anthony Gonzalez's injury in week 1, Garçon moved up to the starting W2 position. He started until a hand injury caused him to miss weeks 16 and 17. The 2009 season saw the young receiver carve a niche as a deep threat in Peyton Manning

2010 Season

Garçon had the starting receiving position most of the season. He had a career-high 67 receptions for 784 yards and 6 touchdowns.
