The Town of Pike Road, Alabama employs three full time staff members: Charlene Rabren- Town Clerk, Buddy Garland- Building and Planning Official, and Liz Scroggins- Project Manager. Patty Payne serves as the PRICE Foundation Coordinator (Pike Road Investment in Community and Education).

The town's population grew by 17 fold in the ten years since the 2000 census, making it one of the fastest growing incorporated places in Alabama with a population of over 5,000 in 2010.
The 2010 census population profile by race showed 68.5% White, 28.7% Black or African American, 0.1% Native American, 1.4% Asian American, and 1.3% Hispanic or Latino persons of any race living within the town limits. . On December 22, 2010 Pike Road established a Municipal School System. The first school, grades K-8, should open in the fall of 2015.
As of 2011 three middle schools, Carr, McKee, and Georgia Washington serve sections of Pike Road.
By 1918 the residents of Pike Road acquired funds to establish the Pike Road Consolidated School, which opened in 1919. The school closed in 1970.
