Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up
Encyclopedia
Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up was the third regular season of Pinoy Big Brother
, which began on October 4, 2009 on ABS-CBN
. Toni Gonzaga
, Mariel Rodriguez
, and Bianca Gonzalez
reprised their hosting duties this season. It ran for 133 days until February 13, 2010, which broke Season 2's record for the longest stay of housemates inside the house by only one week.
There were two sets of auditions for this season. The first set was held in late 2007 at several cities in the Philippines, as well as the cities of Madrid, Milan, and Dubai. Those auditions also produced the housemates for Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus
. A second series of auditions, which included selections for the third Teen Edition, were held in several key cities in the Philippines and the cities of Tokyo and San Francisco. An estimated 57,824 people attended the auditions. From those two auditions, only 50 people were reportedly chosen for the shortlist. A total of 26 housemates entered the House, with 14 on Day 1 and ten on Day 7. The last two housemates entered on Day 43.
The winner of the new season received an LCD TV set, an Asian tour package, a business package, a house and lot, and PHP 1 million in cash. The winner also donated another PHP 1 million to a charity of their choice, making Double Up the first non-celebrity season to do so.
This season also marked the return of Pinoy Big Brother UpLate, after being replaced by Pinoy Big Brother Über in the second Celebrity Edition
and Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus
. Mariel continued hosting Über while Bianca took the helm for UpLate. Episodes from the previous week were also recapped through a weekend program on Studio 23
entitled Pinoy Big Brother: Primetime Weekends on 23 and delayed, but unedited late morning/early afternoon feed through Pinoy Big Brother: Raw on Studio 23.

. On Day 27, it was announced that Cathy from Group A, then currently living in House B, would be swapping with Kätlin and would be going to Finland to live in their Big Brother House for a week. Cathy's selection was made through a series of tasks on which the housemates underwent on the watchful eyes of the Finnish producers.
Kätlin left the Big Brother Finland House on Day 26 (Day 66 of the Finnish version) and enter either Philippine House on Day 29 (Day 69 of the Finnish version). She was supposed to arrive in the Philippines and enter either House the day before, but her flight was delayed due to weather disturbances caused by Typhoon Santi
. Hours before her entrance, she had a brief appearance on the show The Buzz
. On the other hand, Cathy was supposed to leave in the morning of Day 28 (Day 68 of the Finnish version) but their flight was postponed to a later hour of the day.
Much like the first Big Swap, events from both Houses are chronicled. Also, all conversations in English are subtitled in Filipino and all Finnish conversations and confessions are dubbed over by Filipino voice actors. For the Finnish version, clips from the Philippine house are shown in the Big Brother Extra show, while conversations in English are subtitled in Suomi

The Big Swap started on the evening of Day 29 (Day 69 of the Finnish version). Kätlin initially stayed in House A upon her arrival on Day 29. She transferred to House B on Day 31. On Day 32, Cathy and Kätlin were finally able to meet through a video call through Skype

She left six days later on the evening of Day 74 of the Finnish version (early morning of Day 35 of the Philippine version), signaling the end of the Big Swap.
Kätlin left the Philippines the same day she left the Pinoy Big Brother house and re-entered their house in the early morning of Day 75 of the Finnish version (Day 35 of the Philippine version). Cathy left Finland the morning after she left the Finnish Big Brother house and re-entered the Pinoy Big Brother house on the evening of Day 36 (Day 76 of the Finnish version).

portraying their countries' cultures to their visitors. The Filipino housemates should include Kätlin in their presentation while the Finnish housemates should work four at a time in the upstairs room while Cathy is not around. However, it was later revealed that the real weekly task of the Filipino housemates is to make Kätlin feel the Filipino hospitality, to which she felt that both houses were friendly, yet she felt more warmth with House A.
More than three weeks after the Swap ended, on Day 97 of the fifth Finnish season, Kätlin was proclaimed as second placer, behind Aso.

will be the visitor, which aims to spice up the housemates' Christmas. Due to weather problems, Annina's scheduled entry on Day 79 (December 21, 2009) was postponed. She left Germany in the evening of Day 79. Annina entered the house in the evening of Day 80, in a giant gift box, during Paul Jake's birthday.
On Day 84, before the eviction, Sascha, an ex-housemate from the same season as Annina's and also Annina's current boyfriend, entered the house to fetch Annina.
While she was in the Pinoy Big Brother House, Annina did the following tasks:
Group A housemates are housemates initially from House A while Group B housemates are housemates initially from House B, with the exception of Tom, originally part of House A, and Melisa, originally part of House B, who were swapped by Big Brother before the end of the first weekly task. For the fourth weekly task, the housemates swapped houses, and Rob and Carol swapped groups.
For the sixth weekly task, aside from the weekly budget, the winning house only had the housemate/s with the highest point as its nominee/s for the following week while the losing house had the housemates with the top three different points as its nominees. As a reward in the fourth and last challenge, the Group A got their clothes and the house of their choice.
For the seventh weekly task, aside from the weekly budget, the winning house will only have the housemate/s with the highest point as its nominee/s and also be able to give one housemate from the losing house an automatic nomination. As winners, Group B got their clothes.
Before the eighth weekly task started, the females of each group swap houses. Males from Group A and females from Group B were to be known as "Neo-Group A" while females from Group A and males from Group B were to be known as "Neo-Group B".

. Each week, the housemates will undergo HOH competitions. The HOH for the week will get the following privileges for winning:
A housemate will be chosen each week to become a hand grenade
user, where they will be forced to give the full three points for nominations face-to-face to another housemate, as a consequence of losing in the HOH competition. Beginning the third HOH game, the hand grenade holder is given the alternative to automatically nominate themselves for eviction instead of giving all three points to another housemate.
For their final HOH competition in Day 111, Big Brother revealed that the final Head of Household will also be the Hand Grenade user, where the HOH will give an automatic nomination to one housemate.
At least two housemates from each house will be up for eviction. This means that there are at least four housemates nominated every nomination night. However, the housemate with lowest number of votes, no matter which house s/he is in, would be eliminated. Group A housemates are housemates initially from House A while Group B housemates are housemates initially from House B, with the exception of Tom, originally part of House A, and Melisa, originally part of House B, who were swapped by Big Brother before the first nomination. The color code beside the housemates' names correspond to their current house or the house they were in at the time of eviction. However, the color for the names of the nominees indicate the group to which they each belong at the time of nomination and subsequent salvation from eviction.
On Day 23, the housemates switched houses, with Group A living in House B and vice versa. On Day 24, Rob and Carol swapped Groups and Houses, and are now therefore part of Groups B and A respectively. The color for groups did not change however.
On Day 39, as a result of the 4th game in the 6th weekly task, Group A and Group B housemates swapped houses once again. The color for groups did not change however.
On Day 50, the females of each group switched Houses. Group A's males and Group B's females were to be called "Neo-Group A," while Group A's females and Group B's males were to be known as "Neo-Group B." Both of the new-groups were therefore given new colors below; the colors for the Houses stay the same.
On Day 57, for the Seventh nomination night, Neo-Group A housemates nominated Neo-Group B housemates and vice-versa. One point was given to each nominees instead of the usual 1 and 2 points. Big Brother then revealed the top two nominees, regardless of ties, to the housemates of each house. They were given the chance to discuss whether they would change their nominees or not. However, Big Brother announced that all housemates are up for eviction, with the viewers voting to evict.
On Day 63, Big Brother announced that the remaining housemates would be living in House A. Carol, Hermes, Melisa, Rica and Yuri were told to stay in House B to await the announcement of the evictee the following day. On Day 64, the fourteen remaining housemates all stayed in House A. Starting from the eighth nomination/eviction night, viewers will have the chance to either vote to save or evict a housemate.
On Day 68, Big Brother announced that there will be Head of Household (HOH) competitions each week. The HOH gets immunity from nominations in their respective week. The hand grenade user gets to give the full three points to one housemate face to face.
From the eighth nomination night onwards, a new voting scheme was used, wherein the viewers are given the choice of voting to save or voting to evict a housemate. The percentage of evict votes will be subtracted from the percentage of save votes, the voting difference being used as basis. The housemate who gets the lowest difference is evicted from the house. Also, with the housemates already living in one house, the housemates with the three highest points will be nominated for eviction.
On Day 105, eight ex-housemates returned to take part in a twist by Big Brother. These housemates remained as ex-housemates and were not re-instilled as regular housemates. Five of the eight ex-housemates were given their repeated eviction on Day 112. The remaining three ex-housemates stayed for one more week and were given their repeated eviction on Day 119. Their first eviction status was maintained, however.
On Day 120, the six remaining housemates had a different manner of nominations, giving one point to two housemates they feel should leave face-to-face. However, Big Brother announced that all six housemates, including Melisa who has a sure spot in the Big 5, are up for eviction this week.

The season was won by Melisa, who amassed 1,226,675 votes or 32.08% of the entire vote since it began since Day 120. Leaving before her were Paul Jake (1,044,275 votes or 27.31%), Jason (954,961 votes or 24.97%), Johan (303,751 votes or 7.94%), and Tibo (294,261 votes or 7.69%), who left the House as the so-called 5th Big Placer.
, who advised them about the challenges of a showbiz career. Big Brother delivered his farewell address to the Housemates.
Unlike in the parent program, the Big Five housemates were not anymore restricted to the House rules, as they would occasionally leave the House to appear in various ABS-CBN shows. Nonetheless, scripted or simulated situations were presented to Melisa and Jason along the way to test their relationship.
The new show started airing on February 22, 2010, a week after the finale. It is shown Saturday nights and weekday mornings and is hosted by Bianca Gonzalez. Before the premiere of the show, a special edition of Über called Über in Love was shown. It covered events that revelead the couples love to each during their stay in the House.
The name "Melason" is a tabloid-style, portmonteau nickname the two housemates developed in the early stages of the Double Up season. It is also a play on the phrase may lason ("there is [an amount of] poison"), hence a bottle of poison
shown in a title card in reference a task involving the two, as well as other references to poisons and poisoning in general. A clear example of this is the tagline of the show, "Dahil toxic ang pag-ibig" ("Because love is toxic").

Double Up Twists
Aside from the two Big Brother houses, this season was dubbed Double Up for several reasons.- Double Up Housemates - Two sets of identical twins were included in the roster of housemates - with each member of the twins living in both parts of the house, switching between the two areas when instructed. However, the rest of the housemates do not know about the twins, or the fact that there are two houses. The twins will also receive an immunity from nomination for eviction during the first nomination night if they succeed in keeping this a secret, but if they do reveal it they will be forcibly evicted.
- House Swaps - Housemates were made to swap houses and group members as instructed by Big Brother.
- New Voting System - For the seventh eviction, the show introduced the "Vote-to-Evict" system, where the viewers are given the chance to vote for the housemates they want to evict. For the eighth eviction onwards, the "S.E." (Save-Evict) voting scheme was introduced, where the public will be given a choice if they will "Vote to Save" or "Vote to Evict" a nominated housemate. By the end of the allotted voting period, the "Evict" votes (denoted by negative figures) will be subtracted to the "Save" votes (denoting positive numbers). After the subtraction process, the housemate that will still garner the highest amount of "Evict" votes will be evicted from the house. In the event that all nominees still have "Save" votes after subtraction, the nominee with the lowest percentage of "Save" votes will be evicted.
- Head of Household and Hand Grenade - The Head of Household twist is once again used with the Hand Grenade twist as the new addition. Both were implemented after the housemates began living in one house. The Hand Grenade goes to the ultimate loser in the HOH competition. See Head of Household and Hand Grenade sections for further details.
- Char-Char Change - Big Brother made a fake announcement that public voting will be discontinued, and the housemates themselves will vote among the nominees for who should be evicted, but the ultimate fate will still be decided by the public. The truth is Big Brother wanted to see the true feelings that the housemates harbor toward their fellow housemates. This was a play on Charter changePhilippines charter changeCharter Change, also known as "Cha-Cha" in the Philippines, refers to the political and other related processes involved in amending or revising the current 1987 Constitution of the Philippines...
and "Char-Char," which is Filipino slang for "false." - Resbak Attack - For the housemates' sixteenth weekly task, eight former housemates will move into House B and square off against those remaining in House A, with a fraction of the Big Four housemates' prize money at stake. Resbak is a Filipino slang term for seeking revenge.
- Kuya's Darlings - Three female housemates from the Resbak Attack team (Rica, Princess and Yuri) were reassigned as Kuya's Darlings. They will remain in the house as House Players and their tasks depend on Big Brother or the text votes from the viewers. The name of the trio was paying homage to Charlie's AngelsCharlie's AngelsCharlie's Angels is a television series about three women who work for a private investigation agency, and is one of the first shows to showcase women in roles traditionally reserved for men...
. - The Big Jump to the Big Night - Big Brother will be giving a series of games to the seven remaining housemates. The most triumphant will be granted permanent immunity from nominations and automatic inclusion into the Big Four.
- The White Room - Two of the six remaining housemates would get a chance to enter the room and battle for a brand new house and lot. The finalists would face patience, concentration and determination. The one who presses a red button loses challenge.
- Big 5 - Big Brother decided to put five housemates in contention for the Big Winner title instead of the standard four; the "Fifth Big Placer" would get PHP100,000 as his prize and the same amount for his chosen charity.
- Big Reveal - For the first time on Pinoy Big Brother history, the actual ranking of the Big 5 were revealed to the public before the Big Night. This happened on Day 129 of this season.
Housemates
There were a total of twenty-six housemates - twenty official housemates, four sub-official housemates, and two replacement housemates, who entered the Houses: the first set of 14 housemates entered on Day 1 (October 4, 2009), while a second set of 10 were introduced on Day 7 (October 10, 2009). A third batch of two housemates entered the house on Day 43 (November 15, 2009). They are divided below by the batch from which they were introduced and House in which they live. However, the girls at House B were able to distinguish the two, dubbing Kenny as "Toffi-fi". They were forcibly evicted on Day 5. As a replacement for Tom, Kenny was recommissioned as part of the Resbak Attack team on Day 107. After the Resbak Attack twist, Kenny permanently left the Big Brother house on Day 112.

Chronology of notable events
Below is a chronology of events, not including nomination and eviction nights. This section also lists voluntary and temporary exits, entrances of houseguests, visitors, new housemates, and other events that affected the housemates' lives inside the House. This case, October 4, 2009 is considered Day 1. During week 5, events for the swap are indicated in the Big Brother Swap section, including updates on Cathy in Big Brother Finland. As an added note, Group A housemates refer to housemates originally from House A while Group B housemates refer to housemates from House B. On Day 50, the females of each group switched Houses. Group A's males and Group B's females were thus be called "Neo-Group A," while Group A's females and Group B's males were to be known as "Neo-Group B."Week 1
- Day 1: Fourteen housemates entered the houses. Princess, Tom, Delio, Paul Jake and Jason entered House A while Melisa, Yuri, Carol, Mariel and Yhel entered House B. The double-up housemates were informed of tasks they were supposed to achieve. Their housemates must not discover that they have twins. JM and Toffi were tasked to go to House B while JP and Kenny went to House A. The first switch between the twins occurred minutes before midnight, but suspicions of the existence of twins in House B were already abound, briefly imperiling the twins' tenure in the show.
- Day 2: Big Brother gave the double-up housemates another chance for their task, and this time, they had to make sure that House A won't discover their secret. The weekly task of introduction of the housemates in the two Houses began. Several housemates also donated some of their clothes for the victims of calamities caused by typhoons OndoyTyphoon Ketsana (2009)Typhoon Ketsana was the most devastating typhoon in the 2009 Pacific typhoon season with a damage of $1.09 billion and 747 fatalities. . Big Brother informed JP that his company denied his application for leave (so he would compete in the show) and JP was told that he would lose his job if he would not report by 8:00 am the next day. JP opted for a voluntary exit so he would freely show up at work. - Day 3: With everyone else in both Houses unaware, JP left House A at 2:38am on Day 3, October 6, 2009. JM was informed of his twin brother's voluntary exit around 30 minutes later. Because of Big Brother's concern for the Lagumbay twins, he decided that JM would remain inside the house and still continue their task. He must still continue the task and assume as JP whenever he is in House A.
- Day 4: Big Brother hardens the twins' tasks by making them stay in one house without the other housemates (except JM) knowing. However, Melisa (one of the more inquisitive housemates) and Mariel caught one of the Santos twins in the shower room, which made them fail their task. Big Brother made the twins and JM reveal themselves to House B and were given one last chance with their task in House A, but declared its Secret Bedroom, the anteroom to the confession room, and the shower room off-limits as hiding places.
- Day 5: Princess caught one of the Santos twins in the toilet. This led to the eviction of the twins and JM.
- Day 6: Minutes after midnight, Tom and Melisa were each told of the existence of a second House. They were told to pack up and move to the other House (i.e. Tom would transfer to House B, Melisa to House A). After the switch and the announcement of the first weekly task's results, Big Brother finally confirmed to all housemates the existence of another House.
- Day 7: Some housemates committed various violations. The original housemates of House A got food supplies outside the prescribed time and were punished by wearing boots on their hands. Princess, Jason, and Delio were asked to wear headsets for not wearing the lapel microphones while Delio was further punished by wearing a ring of guavas for his violation on taking baths. At House B, Carol and Mariel were asked to wear headsets for violating rules on lapel microphones. The second batch of housemates entered the Houses. While Johan, Cathy, Tibo, Hermes, and Patria entered seemingly without incident, Kath, Jimson, Rob, Patrick, and Rica were given new tasks that would give them budgets for both Houses. Kath, Jimson, and Patrick would enter one House with Kath and Patrick posing as husband and wife, with Jimson watching to see their task being accomplished without a hitch. Rob and Rica were told to enter the other House posing as lovers.
Week 2
- Day 8: For the upcoming week, Big Brother announced that Group A will be the morning shift (awake during the day) while Group B will be the night shift (rest all day and be active at night), as a fake weekly task designed to test the double-up couples. entered the confession room for five minutes as a surprise houseguest for Jason's birthday. - Day 9: Rob and Rica wanted to establish their fake relationship by confiding to their housemates their doubt for each other and not talk to each other. The two are ordered to wear a shower cap together because they violated a rule which states that only one housemate can shower at any time. Jason's concern for the two later prompts Big Brother to order him to tell the "couple" that the shower cap can be removed. Big Brother instructed Rob to propose to Rica the next day without her prior knowledge. In House B, it was Kath and Patrick's "anniversary" and the housemates planned on activities for their special day: breakfast in bed and dinner for two. Jimson could take the task no longer, and Jimson and Kath revealed the truth to their housemates, hence, the failure of their task.
- Day 10: Patrick offered to do a sacrifice in exchange for half the weekly budget of House B. He was instructed to stand on a push cart for twelve hours, without telling anyone what the sacrifice is for. meanwhile in House A, Rob, with his housemates' help, "proposed" to Rica.
- Day 11: In House A, the housemates held a talent show. Big Brother showed a series of messages from Rob and Rica's family and friends about their "engagement", to which Rob felt uncomfortable with. In House B, for losing in their game, the red team, composed of Carol, Hermes, Mariel, Patria and Patrick had to wear noseplugs until an appointed time because the other team was rewarded with durianDurianThe durian is the fruit of several tree species belonging to the genus Durio and the Malvaceae family . Widely known and revered in southeast Asia as the "king of fruits", the durian is distinctive for its large size, unique odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk...
. The housemates had a sharing on life-changing mistakes they wished they didn't make. - Day 12: Big Brother ended Rob and Rica's secret task, which he declared a success.
- Day 13: The housemates had their first nominations, the results of which were announced the next night. Patrick was assigned to take charge of the 50% budget Group B got as a result of his sacrifice. With the other girls meddling on Patrick's grocery choices, Tom berated them for Patrick was the reason of their house having a weekly budget despite of the weekly task loss. Yhel and Mariel were reprimanded for talking under the bedsheets. Group B planned for Yuri's birthday surprise.
- Day 14: In House A, for whispering to each other, Melisa and Princess were made to dance to the song Careless WhisperCareless Whisper"Careless Whisper" is a 1984 single by George Michael , released by Epic Records in the UK, Japan, and other countries; and by Columbia Records in North America. whenever it was played. Delio, Paul Jake and Cathy were made to speak in a child's, woman's and old man's voice, respectively, due to their lapel microphone violations. For continually sleeping amidst the playing of the wake-up call, Jason must wear a folding bed unto his back. For Yuri's birthday celebration, Big Brother allowed House B housemates to use the pool in House A, staying only in the pool area, while House A's denizens were confined at the men's bedroom.
Week 3
- Day 15: In House B, Hermes was made to speak in a girl's voice due to his lapel microphone violation, while Tom was made to eat using stirrers for using the teaspoon to stir his coffee. Rica also had a 100-second moment with her father, who finally accepted her sexuality.

He chose the former.
Week 13
- Day 85: As part of giving the Hand Grenade, Johan gave the three points to Rica. Jason was also given a 100-second encounter with his grandmother who was escorted by Melisa. Melisa also expressed guilt over her nomination of Patrick, as none of the people she had ever nominated before were evicted on the same week. Rica and Paul Jake were asked to give Melisa a choice to leave the house in exchange for Patrick getting back in. The plan was actually a practical joke.
- Day 86: Jason was given his task by the remainder of the two kings, which is to become a houseboy to the housemates, called the Bratinella family. However, the frequent commands take their toll on him as he is asked to respectfully address them as either señor or señorita. The storage room was turned into the servant's quarters.

- Day 93: The housemates were introduced to Big Brother's younger brother Big Utol (utol is a colloquial Filipino general term for "sibling"), who would take over managing the House. Big Utol is visibly less serious and more playful, yet mischievous and stern as the housemates found out through various crazy tasks he had given to them and his strict imposition of House rules. Big Utol summoned each housemate to his Confession Room (which resembled a dark interrogation room) to face their worst fears (a homage to the purpose of 1984Nineteen Eighty-FourNineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell is a dystopian novel about Oceania, a society ruled by the oligarchical dictatorship of the Party...

For never earning Big Brother's ire, Tibo was tasked to tell Jason and Melisa about their actions that led to Big Brother's collapse in the first place. The housemates performed the sipa portion of their weekly task, but were forced to do it again several times because the counting was messed up or a housemate failed to catch the sipa. Big Utol gave them another chance to succeed, with a prize of 2,010 pairs of slippers to be donated to street children.
- Day 95: Big Utol relieved Jason and Paul Jake of their punishment. Later, Big Utol had separate drinking sessions with the housemates on a bid to bond with them. As the sessions involved alcohol, Kath, Melisa, and Mariel emerged drunk and had to be sobered up.

Big Utol also interrogated the actors as he claimed that the crew did not ask his permission before entering the house. Big Brother designed the task to test the housemates' patience.
Week 15
- Day 99: The fifth Head of Household game was held. Paul Jake later admitted to Big Utol that he made a deal with Kath to throw it and let her win, since he had already become Head of Household twice. Meanwhile, Jason, Mariel, Hermes, Tibo, and Johan competed in the hand grenade competition where their hands were off from the mechanical bull. Jason logged in the shortest time, thus giving him the grenade for the second straight week. Jason and Melisa were told to stay away within three arms length from each other for three days due to them abusing each other. They were further instructed to relay their messages to each other through the three people who would stand between them. The housemates were told of a new rule that they themselves would vote to determine who would be evicted. However, this rule was actually not real, as the public vote was still the basis of eviction.
- Day 100: The fallout over the new rule caused the housemates to talk with Big Utol whom they want to see evicted. Tibo also tried to ease the tension by interpreting the rulebook. Big Utol also gave Kath a chance to face her worst fears. Big Brother returned by greeting the housemates good morning and playing the song HomeHome (Daughtry song)"Home" is a 2007 song by American rock band Daughtry from their self-titled debut album. In response, Hermes, Kath, and Tibo were scolded by Big Brother, who ordered the trio to remain between Jason and Melisa at all times. After an incident involving some jealousy surrounding Cathy, Johan eventually admitted to Hermes that he wanted to court her.

The restraining order on Melisa and Jason was later lifted. - Day 105: The housemates discussed the attitudes of some of their ex-housemates. For being the latest technical evictee, Cathy was moved to House B in preparation for the Resbak Attack twist. Joining her were ex-housemates Princess, Delio, Tom, Yuri, Rob, Patrick and Rica, who gave her the cold shoulder upon entering House B.
Week 16
- Day 106: The Resbak Attack team observed the Head of Household game and made commentaries on their former housemates' attitudes. They were later assigned their first mission: assault House A and mess up the place while the housemates were sleeping. The housemates woke up to survey the damage and thought those who raided House A came from a "House C." After Hermes' announcement that he would nominate himself, Big Brother played the Resbak Attack team's commentaries, which sparked some tension between the remaining housemates. They also theorized that the ex-housemates were actually on the other house.
- Day 107: The weekly task for the housemates was to protect an eggEgg (biology)An egg is an organic vessel in which an embryo first begins to develop. Kath and Mariel rebuilt only one tower while Melisa, Jason and Hermes stood aside. Johan and Paul Jake blocked the tower from Kenny and Delio's sniping until daybreak, when Big Brother called off the task. In the afternoon, the ex-housemates interrogated each one of the remaining housemates inside the room Mariel once thought was in the Bigg Boss house.

- Day 115: On the first Kuya's Darlings task, Rica was able to make Paul Jake cry by pretending to make a video for his girlfriend. Johan's team once again suffered a loss against Paul Jake's team, 400-300, in a water balloon challenge, shutting the former out completely from the individual challenges. With the team challenges over, the two teams were allowed to communicate with each other freely again. Johan's team were also told to become trainers to Paul Jake's team. Through an elaborate scheme, the houseplayers explained the true purpose of their operation.
- Day 119: Big Brother questioned the housemates about the events of the past two weeks. Later, Princess, Rica, and Yuri were given a heartfelt send-off before finally exiting the House. The housemates were shown a model house with figures of them included as part of a special challenge to win a house and lot. They were given a chance to decide on two housemates who will compete for the prize. Johan freely accepted the challenge while the others decided to have Jason give it a shot. The task was in fact part of the sacrifice Johan wanted to make.
- Day 124: Johan and Jason, who were taken by white-clad ninjas, wore white clothes and were placed in the so-called "White Room" to start competing in the challenge for the house. They were ordered not to talk with each other and can only quit if they pressed a red button.

The housemate with the highest tower from the winning group will be the HOH while the housemate with the shortest tower will be the Hand Grenade User. |

In round two, they are to ride the bull with two hands but the bull's speed gets faster to make it harder. First two housemates will then advance to round 3. In the final stage, the two remaining housemates cannot hold on to the bull. |

Sliming The Truth Each housemate was tasked to douse a housemate with slime Gunge Gunge as it is known in the British Isles, or slime as it is known in America and other parts of the world is a thick, gooey, runny substance similar in consistency to paint. It has been a feature on many children's programmes for many years around the world and has made appearances in game shows... based on the result of the survey they did last week. The housemate who correctly poured the slime on who they think that got the most votes from the survey gets a point and whoever had the most number of correct answer is the winner. |

Nomination history
The housemate first mentioned in each nomination gets two points, while the second gets one point. The percentage of votes shown is the percentage of votes to save unless other wise stated.

: JP voluntarily left the House on Day 3. He last stayed in House B before he exited. JM, Kenny and Toffi failed their task and had to leave on Day 5. Jimson was part of Group B before he was evicted.
: Princess, Mariel and Yhel were given an automatic nomination by Big Brother for talking about nominations with their fellow housemates. House B was given the opportunity to do a sacrifice to save one of the automatically nominated housemates, which they chose to be Mariel. Princess voluntarily left the House on Day 22. She was part of Group A before she left. On Day 24, Rob and Carol were swapped to opposing groups. On Day 25, the voting for the Second Eviction Night was canceled due to Yhel's forced eviction, dubbed as the first forced eviction for the season. She was part of Group B before she was forcibly evicted.
: There were three nominees from Group B as there was a tie for the highest points scored. Both Tom and Mariel scored 5 points while Patrick scored 4 points, making him the third nominee, with the second highest nomination points. Delio was part of Group A before he was evicted.
: As Cathy was still en route from Finland to the Philippines, she was not able to nominate, although she could be nominated. Meanwhile, Tibo and Paul were each tied for the most nomination points with 5, while Jason and Carol were tied for the second most points with 3. On Day 39, voting was suspended due to Tom's exit from the house to be confined to the hospital. On Day 40, Tom was able to return, although voting remained suspended. On Day 41, it was announced that Tom has been forcibly evicted from the house. He left the next day accompanied by ex-housemate Princess. He was part of Group B before he left the house.
: As per stipulation for the weekly task, only the top nomination point earner from Group A and the top three point earners from Group B were nominated. Tom, who was physically at House B during the nominations did not participate as he was already regarded as evicted. Patria was part of Group B when she was evicted.
: As per stipulation for the weekly task, only the top nomination point earner from Group B and the top two point earners from Group A were nominated. In addition to that, Group B automatically nominated Rica as part of their reward. As Rob and Patrick had the same highest number of nomination points, they were both nominated. As new housemates, Rocky and Sam were exempted from nominations. They were given the chance to nominate but their votes were not counted. Rocky nominated Hermes and Yuri, while Sam nominated Mariel and Hermes, for one and two points respectively. Rob was part of Neo-Group B when he was evicted.
: As the nomination process was changed, the top two nominees for Neo-Group A were Johan and Yuri. However, after the discussion of Neo-Group B, Kath was placed as a nominee instead of Yuri. The top two nominees for Neo-Group B were Rica and Rocky; no change in nominees happened after Neo-Group A's discussion. However, Big Brother later on announced that all housemates are up for eviction. On Day 63, voting was officially closed and all saved housemates were asked to stay in House A with the exception of Carol, Hermes, Melisa, Rica and Yuri who were asked to stay in House B until the next day. Yuri was part of Neo-Group A when she was evicted.
: On Day 67, Rocky voluntarily exited the house. Sam got 13.88% votes to save and 3.65% votes to evict. As the hand grenade user, Carol gave the full three points to Hermes before the other housemates nominated. Patrick got 6.85% votes to save and 3.06% votes to evict. Hermes got 7.73% votes to save and 17.70% votes to evict. Carol got 14.36% votes to save and 32.78% votes to evict.
: As the designated three kings, Hermes, Johan and Patrick had to give 3 points for nomination to one housemate, 1 point from each of them. As the hand grenade user, Cathy gave the full three points to Patrick before the other housemates nominated. Kath got 10.37% votes to save and 4.23% votes to evict. Cathy got 34.61% votes to save and 29.65% votes to evict. Patrick got 11.28% votes to save and 9.87% votes to evict.
: As the hand grenade user, Johan gave the full three points to Rica after the other housemates nominated. Sam got 22.65% votes to save and 7.48% votes to evict. Johan got 21.22% votes to save and 7.74% votes to evict. Paul Jake got 16.13% votes to save and 3.57% votes to evict. Rica got 15.79% votes to save and 5.42% votes to evict.
: As the hand grenade user, Jason opted to give himself an Automatic Nomination than to give the three points to another housemate. Jason got 38.11% votes to save and 3.66% votes to evict. Johan got 20.48% votes to save and 10.49% votes to evict. Sam got 18.05% votes to save and 9.41% votes to evict.
: As the hand grenade user, Jason gave the full three points to Tibo after the other housemates nominated. Melisa got 33.46% votes to save and 1.60% votes to evict. Tibo got 4.74% votes to save and 2.43% votes to evict. Mariel got 1.98% votes to save and 5.53% votes to evict. Hermes got 2.76% votes to save and 13.19% votes to evict. Cathy got 10.40% votes to save and 23.94% votes to evict. However, Cathy was not welcomed to the outside world and proceeded to House B after being instructed by Big Brother.
: As part of the Resbak Attack twist, seven ex-housemates re-entered the house to challenge the remaining housemates. Princess, Delio, Tom, Rob, Yuri, Patrick and Rica re-entered House B where Cathy was already staying. Hermes chose to give himself an Automatic Nomination than to give the three points to another housemate. As Tom left on Day 107, Kenny re-entered the house to be his replacement. On Eviction Night, Cathy was given her exit, along with Delio, Kenny, Patrick and Rob. Johan got 33.32% votes to save and 7.32% votes to evict. Kath got 9.43% votes to save and 2.74% votes to evict. Tibo got 12.56% votes to save and 10.67% votes to evict. Hermes got 8.56% votes to save and 15.40% votes to evict.
: Princess, Rica and Yuri were told to enter the main house as houseplayers. They were to pretend to be regular housemates. Big Brother revealed that the last HOH of the season (Tibo) will also serve as the Hand Grenade User, where he will have the power of automatic nomination. On Eviction Night, houseplayers Princess, Rica and Yuri were given their exit. Melisa got 24.73% votes to save and 3.92% votes to evict. Jason got 22.56% votes to save and 3.97% votes to evict. Paul Jake got 20.57% votes to save and 2.67% votes to evict. Johan got 10.87% votes to save and 3.48% votes to evict. Kath got 3.43% votes to save and 3.81% votes to evict. This will be the last time that the S.E. voting scheme will be used in the season, for the public will already vote for the Big Winner.
: As Melisa won the endurance challenge, she won an automatic spot in the Big Five and will be exempted from the last eviction until the final. Big Brother announced that this round of nominations were void, and all housemates are nominated for open voting to save. With this, Melisa was still nominated and should Melisa be the housemate that would have the lowest amount of votes, she would still be saved in the upcoming eviction as per stipulation of the "Big Jump" special challenge. The second lowest would be evicted instead.
: In the final week, all housemates remaining in the House are automatically up for public vote. The housemate with the largest percentage of votes will be the winner. The rest of the housemates would leave the House one by one according to percentage order, with the least leaving first. On Day 129, the ranking of the Big 5 were revealed to the public, with Paul Jake taking the first rank, followed by Jason, Melisa, Johan and Tibo, respectively.
Fake eviction voting history
While the fate of housemates inside the House continues to rely on public votes, the voting history table below shows how the housemates voted against each other due to the Char-Char Change twist. On Day 120, Big Brother announced that the voting were all voided, and viewers still had power to vote ending the twist#12 | #13 | #14 | #15 | ||

Melason in Love
After the Big Reunion, the Big Five housemates were told to stay in House for a bit longer (five weeks to be exact). But in the process, they, especially Jason and Melisa, unwittingly became part of a new spin-off called Melason in Love, which followed Jason and Melisa on their new life after Pinoy Big Brother and how they would further their relationship in the midst of their newfound popularity.Unlike in the parent program, the Big Five housemates were not anymore restricted to the House rules, as they would occasionally leave the House to appear in various ABS-CBN shows.
