Plean Country Park is a large country park located in Plean. Entry is free and the park is maintained by Stirling Council.
There is also a Primary School in Plean, East Plean Primary which is a histroic building, its Headteacher is Connie Desmond. East Plean Primary School is a traditional building dating from 1874. Many of the original features of the building have been retained in the refurbishment of the school, which was completed in summer 2000.
The school consists of a central hall, seven good sized classrooms, a general-purpose room, a well-stocked library/computer suite and resource room. A new purpose built nursery was completed in August 2000 with places for 20children in the morning session and 20 children in the afternoon session.

. Nearby Plean or Plane Castle, was once a home of the Somerville family. It was restored from ruin twice in the twentieth century and is now a private house.
On the 6th of November 2010, Plean's primary school was burnt down,the cause was arson by local youth.
