History
Work on the line started in late December 1895 and was officially opened on 15 January 1898 with the line opening completely two days later. The line was initially successful but by the 1920s with the growth in the number of motor cars and buses passenger traffic reduced. Thus passenger services ceased on the line in 7 July 1930 though freight traffic still ran on the line. and stations were demolished, and the remaining stations were rented.
