The men's system

Polish League system was reorganized in 2008/2009 season. The Second league was renamed to First League. Third league, divided into four groups, was renamed to Second league, and divided into only two division - West, and East. Fourth league was renamed to Third league, and Fifth to Fourth.

In 2007/2008 season Młoda Ekstraklasa was introduced.
