The Portland Shockwave is a Tier I team in the Western Conference of the Independent Women's Football League
(IWFL) based in Portland, Oregon
. Known as the Oregon Thunder during their inaugural season of 2002, home games are played at the Kiggins Bowl in nearby Vancouver, Washington
.
During their fifth season in 2006, the team won the Pacific Northwest Division for the first time and made the IWFL playoffs for the first time.
