. It was created by Steve Jackaman, a font designer from the Borough of Greenwich in London, England. The Portobello font is "loosely based on Pontecorvo, a font design by Aldo Novarese."

"Portobello" refers to a typeface family comprising Portobello RR Light, Medium, Demi, Bold and Extra Bold.
