The LPFP organizes the two major professional football championships in Portugal: the Liga ZON Sagres and the Liga Orangina, which are, respectively, the first and second top tiers of the Portuguese football pyramid. The LPFP also organizes the BWIN Cup or Taça da Liga (League Cup). The current President of LPFP is Fernando Gomes.
