 theme parks as well as the former site of the Kansas City Royals’ spring training facility. The first stores opened in March 2008 and include Target, J.C. Penney, Belk Department Stores, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Staples, Ross, Michael’s, PetsMart and Books-A-Million as the 10 anchor tenants that occupy nearly 500,000 sf of retail space on 80 acres fronting Interstate 4 and U.S. 27. In total, 11 anchor tenants and a number of smaller specialty retailers will occupy 650,000 sf of retail space.

In future expansion, Posner Park plans a lifestyle center with high-end boutiques, upscale offices, destination restaurants, luxury multi-family residences, entertainment and cultural venues and pedestrian parks. An extensively landscaped core plaza with fountains and decorative hardscape elements will sit in the midst of these establishments. Posner Park was approved for nearly 1.5 million sf of specialty and general retail, over 1 million sf of Class A office space, 2,600 upscale hotel rooms and nearly 2,000 luxury multi-family units for an anticipated 4,500 residents. The park sits only seven miles from the main gates of the Walt Disney World Resort
