. The recreation area has a total area of 4700 acres (19 km²) and it offers various outdoor activities including hiking among 20 miles (32.2 km) of hiking trails (9 miles of which are open to horses and mountain bikes), cross-country skiing, fishing in the Huron River
, hunting (in limited areas), canoeing, and picnicking. A campground has 130 campsites and a 24-person cabin for rent.
State Park membership. The daily admission fee for residents (non-residents) is $6 ($8), while it costs $24 ($29) for an annual pass. Use of the Recreation Passport, obtained with license plate renewals for an additional $10 replaces the $24 annual or $6 daily expense when entering this or any Michigan state park or boat launch. A 'P' on your license plate tab will indicate your Recreation Passport purchase for easy access to this and any of the Michigan state parks or recreation areas.
