RAK Airways is the national airline
of Ras Al Khaimah, one of the seven states in the United Arab Emirates
. The airline has relaunched operations in 2010 under a new livery and new management.

In February 2011 it was revealed that RAK Airways was planning on launching flights between five and nine new destinations. Though they confirmed that as it was difficult securing slots at several of the destinations due to rival carriers of the United Arab Emirates
. For this reason, they revealed that they were in the final stages of finalizing a code-sharing agreement with an Asian
carrier. Along with this they will also increase the fleet. They further more confirmed that they believe they will break-even before the end of the year.
The airline is also currently doing charter flights to Germany and Austria.
