RTB1 is the first and oldest free-to-air government terrestrial television
channel in Brunei
. RTB1 began broadcasting on 1 March 1975. Typically, RTB1 broadcasts for 18 hours daily from 6:00 am to 12:00 am, however, times may vary due to certain special events and festivals. During non-operating hours, the channel will direct broadcast to RTB4 was broadcasts for 6 hours daily from 12:00 am to 6:00 am.
