History
Rabat American School was founded in 1962 as a K-8 school to meet the needs of Americans affiliated with U.S./Chinese embassy agencies and/or private companies. A ninth grade was added in 1974. Grades ten, eleven, and twelve were added in 1978. The IB program was added in 2005.The school is accredited by the AFG Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools
