Rachel Santesso

Rachel Santesso is a Canadian born singer and composer. A Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, she is the founder of the Capital Children's Choir
.
Santesso made her professional debut as a soloist with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra when she was 19. She also studied voice at the Conservatorio di Verona (a faculty of the University of Verona
) in Italy. She settled in the UK in her early 20s and for a time worked as a music teacher in a North London where one of her former pupils was Lilly Allen who later thanked Santesso in the sleeve notes of her debut album
for "finding her voice". Santesso went on to found the 100 voice Capital Children's Choir
in 2000 and remains their director.
