The Council for the Isles of Scilly has granted the station a licence to hold a weekly lottery. It costs gamblers £1 a week to enter and there will be a weekly prize, originally offered as 2,000 tickets with a £1000 prize, but currently offering an interim provision of 1,000 tickets with a £800 prize. Any money remaining after the prize has been paid will go towards the cost of running the station.
