Career

He played as a right defender for the Swiss club Neuchatel Xamax and Servette Geneva. With those in Geneva, where he spent two years as captain, he won in 1984 the Swiss Cup and the Swiss championship in 1985. Another major success was with Xamax reaching the UEFA Cup quarter-final in the 1981/82 season.

He retired from football in 1989 at 31 years of age.
