Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) is a science and technology university in northern Thailand. It offers Certificate (Vocational), Advanced Certificate (Vocational), undergraduate, and master's degrees.

History

RMUTL was first founded in 1957 under a royal charter granted by His Majesty the King Bhumibol adulyadaj under the name Vocational Institute. In 1975, it was considered a campus of the Institute of Technology and Vocational Education. In 1988 it was named Rajamangala Institute of Technology (RIT), Northern Campus by His Majesty the King. To serve the needs of people in Thailand and other countries and to meet international standards, RIT developed its administration structure and education management and became Rajamangala University of Technology (RMUTL) in 2003. Student Union

Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Students’ Union is a member – led organization run by and for all students. Its aims are to provide art and cultural, sport, recreational, and education. Moreover it has been develop students to be a master both in academic and career goal.

Scholarship

Education and Research Scholarship

1. Income Contingent Loans. ICT is a scholarship giving a chance to students to further their study in higher education. Students can obtain a loan for school fees and pay it back after they graduate and have a salary.
2. General Scholarship. This scholarship is donated from many places, such as the student alumni, cooperative stores, public donations, bank, and other stores.
3. The scholarship of Commission on Higher Education and the cooperative of International Science and Technology Development Agency Aorthern Network.

Facilities

1. Academic Resources Center. Academic Resources Center provides a variety of reading materials as well as audio visual materials to support learning including educational management and development. Academic Resources Center consists of the library, education technology division, and self – access learning center.
2. Arts and culture center. Arts and Culture Center preserves and promotes arts and culture including the cooperation with the Central Arts and Culture Center.
3. Language Center at Lampang Campus. Language Center is the data sources center that offers quality teaching to its students and staff and the wider community in developing their English through the use of computer assisted instruction (CAI).
4. Chulalogkorn University Test of English Proficiency (CU – TEP) Center. Rajamangala University of Technology cooperates with Chulalongkorn University in providing the test of English proficiency to measure students, staff, and interested people abilities to use English.
5. Northern CNC Technology Center at Northern and Tak Campuses. Northern CNC Technology Center provides knowledge and information on the computer numerically controlled milling machines (CNC machines).
