Rajat Dholakia composed music for the Bollywood movie, Dharavi

Dharavi is critically acclaimed 1991 Hindi film, directed and written by Sudhir Mishra.The film was a joint NFDC-Doordarshan production and went on to winning many awards in the following year, including the 1992 National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi...

. He is credited with bringing Chhattisgarhi folk music to mainstream Bollywood. He had composed the music jointly with A R Rahman for the Genda phool song in Delhi 6.

He also composed music for UIDAI ID project's official theme song, Yehi hai Meri Pehchaan.

He worked as a composer for Ketan Mehta's movie, Holi.
