History

The land on which Rajawadi Hospital is situated today belonged to King Gaikwad of Baroda. It was acquired by the Bombay Municipal Corporation in 1950.

The hospital, which started functioning in 1958 underwent a major expansion in 1976 with bed strength rising to 570.
