Controversy
The import of Ramly Burger beef product into Singapore used to be prohibited (Other non-beef Ramly Burger products such as Seafood Patties are not included in this ban), along with most Malaysian beef products. However, several stalls have smuggled the burger, albeit illegally, into the country. In particular, Ramly Burger stalls are rampant in Singapore's pasar malamPasar malam

But recently, due to high demand from Singapore market, Ramly Burger have taken steps to improved it's beef product to comply with AVA regulations. As a result, the ban was finally lifted and Ramly Burger lovers in Singapore can finally enjoy it legally.
It is widely regarded as the most successful example of Malaysian entrepreneurship, closely followed of course by the egg boiler.
