Rangi Chase is a professional rugby league
footballer who currently plays in the Super League
competition for the Castleford Tigers
. He attended famous Maori school Te Aute College
in 1999 before moving to Australia where he attended Keebra Park State High School. He has played at representative level for the New Zealand Māori, New Zealand A's & Exiles RL. Chase is also the 2011 Albert Goldthorpe Medal

During the 2009 season, Chase scored 10 tries and made more tackle busts than any other player in Superleague, earning him Castleford Tigers player of the year award.
On 21 August 2009, it emerged that Chase had signed a new four-year contract with the Tigers, lasting until the end of the 2013 season. He again played for the New Zealand Maori team in 2010.
On 27 September, it also emerged that Castleford Tigers held a conference meeting with Rangi about his career and landed an extra 2 year extension on to his current contract and is to be at the Castleford Tigers until the end of 2015 season.
Rangi Chase was selected for the Exiles squad for the International Origin Match against England

June 2011, Being named man-of-the-match in the Exiles' victory. Despite this, on the 3rd October 2011, Chase made himself available for selection for the English national side.
In 2011 he became the third consecutive Australasian import to win the Man of Steel award for Super League
's player of the season.
He was selected by the team England management despite having played against them earlier in the year, drawing criticism from Garry Schofield?.
Rangi Chase made his debut in the warm up test against France
