Demographics

29,000 people are living in the villages of the district. 96% of them are Pashtun

Water shortage

The continuing drought is the main problem of the district. The lack of water make people leave their villages and go to other districts or abroad.

Many are actively employed in the lucrative trade and commerce of goods across the border in neighboring Pakistan
