BTEC Higher National Diplomas often lead to progression into the final year of a 3 year (primary/ordinary level) degree or to the final year of a 3 or 4 year honours degree in a related discipline.

Advanced Certificates often lead to progression into year two of related degree or Higher National Certificate courses in Third Level educational institutions.

Enrollment

Prospective Students must first apply for a place on a course of their choice either online or via paper application forms (available through the college) Due to the high level of applications a prospective student should apply months in advance of the courses start date.
They will be called for an informal interview in the College with a course advisor and if successful prospective students with be offered a provisional (temporary) offer of a place on a course.

Then the student must present him/herself at the college in the month of August with the results of his/her Leaving Certificate

,(or A Levels/GCSE'S etc) and if a prospective student meets the minimum entry requirements regarding Leaving Cert Exam Grades he/she will be offered a place on the course of his/her choice - once the course fee is paid in full and all required documentation is submitted.

This is followed by a short course induction. Most full courses begin in Sept and finish in May. All courses are examined by a combination of assessment methods which may include some of the following: assignments, essays, end of term (& end of year) written exams, practical exams, research topics, oral presentations etc
