Playing career

Ray Carolan was a midfielder. His inspirational qualities helped Cavan win the Ulster Senior Championship in 1962, ’64, ’67 and ’69. He won Railway Cup medals with Ulster in 1964, ‘ 65, ’66 and ’68. He won two Cú Chulainn Awards in 1966 and '67.
He was a recipient of the 2008 Hall of Fame Award for the Limousin Breed.
