. Raymore is one of the fastest growing cities in the state of Missouri, and surpassed the 2007 estimated population of 16,000 by over 1,000. It is a suburb of choice for many people that make the daily commute to Metropolitan Kansas City

There were 4,038 households out of which 41.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.5% were married couples
living together, 7.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.3% were non-families. 18.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.72 and the average family size was 3.10.
In the city the population was spread out with 29.0% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 30.9% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 14.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 91.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.2 males.
