. Red tree voles are found in the upper branches of arboreal conifers throughout Northern California and Western Oregon. Their preference and food source is thought to be Douglas Fir(Pseudotsuga menziesii) and Redwood(Sequoia sempervirens) species. Red Tree Voles often spend their lives living in just one tree and many generations will live in different parts of the same tree.

Red Tree Voles are approximately 6-8 inches including tail. They have a reddish brown coat.
