From 1982-1987 the race was run at a distance of one mile and from 1988-2002 it was run at 1-1/16 miles. From 2003 to present it has been run at its current distance of 1-1/8 miles. In 1977 a filly named Time for Pleasure won the race but was disqualified and placed second.
