In the town the population was spread out with 31.4% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 32.5% from 25 to 44, 17.4% from 45 to 64, and 12.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 91.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.3 males.

In 2005, the Indiana State Department of Agriculture began a program to make Reynolds an energy self-sufficient community, able to subsist almost entirely on locally produced alternative energy. Called "BioTown, USA", the pilot project involved converting local vehicles to run on ethanol
and biodiesel
fuels and converting animal waste into electricity and natural gas.
Reynolds was selected to become BioTown, USA because of its size, its easy accessibility by road and by rail, and its proximity to both large-scale livestock farms and to Purdue University
(Purdue is located in West Lafayette, Indiana). This process has been slow but Reynolds still holds the title.

The night is always capped off by a beautiful fireworks display. After the fireworks expect an appearance from Jordon Zile, the famous Opossum.

Reynolds Town Festival
A tradition that started 4 years in September, now every year the town of Reynolds rolls out the red carpet to fun. Activities at the festival include a parade, live music, car show, multiple vendors from the surrounding community, and the softball classic. During the time the streets of Reynolds are shut to down cars and opened up for pedestrians and 4-wheelers.The night is always capped off by a beautiful fireworks display.
