Richard Kelly played for Wakefield Trinity from 1982-1992 & Dewsbury Rams in 1993. & 1994.
Richard played stand off No 6, centre No 4 and full back No 1

He is the youngest of three brothers to have played professionally, brothers Neil Kelly, Wakefield Trinity, Dewsbury Rams, Hunslet, Featherstone Rovers and Andrew "Andy" Kelly

A product of Wakefield Trinity's highly successful youth system and Colts 19s team, Richard Kelly made his professional debut just 3 days after his 17th birthday, he went on to make a further 14 appearances that season scoring 1 try in an away victory over Whitehaven.
